Introduction
On these few pages I host photos of travelling I did across the world (18 countries so far).
I call it 'travelling' instead of vacation or holidays, while there is a clear difference: holidays are for leisure, while 'travelling' implies that the intent is to learn about cultures, architecture, history, art, etc..
From a young age I travelled with my parents around Europe, mainly driving through Germany, France, Spain and Portugal. We always visit many cultural attractions, which left me with urge to explore much more of the world. In 1997 we
travelled for the first time outside of Europe to Morocco. This beautiful country was a real adventure to travel through.
The following year we went to New York. The city that never sleeps was also the place where one is never finished with exploring. Once you have seen half the city, it has also halfway changed.
The following years me and some friends went to Paris, Rome, Berlin, Turkey. In 2003 and 2004 I went along two study-trips to Milan for the Design Fair. Milan is an interesting city by itself, but during the design week the city it's better, while there are around 200 design related
exhibitions to visit.
My first travel to Asia was at the end of 2005, when I took part in a research project that included a trip to Japan. Tokyo being the most populated city on earth was a amazing place to be.
My most adventurous travels were those I did during the time of my exchange program at the university of Singapore. Travelling alone through countries like Malaysia, Thailand and China on a low budget quite changed my perspective on the world.
